EventStreams is proud to have our documentary film, The New Entrepreneur: Odyssey for a Dream featured as a part of Resettling in America: Georgia’s Refugee Communities, a temporary exhibition at the Smithsonian affiliate, David J. Spencer CDC Museum.
Nominated for a regional Emmy Award in 2014, The New Entrepreneur examines the lives of several Clarkston, Georgia micro-entrepreneurs hoping to start their own businesses, following a few candidates through the Village Capital: Start Program, a training series providing selected business owners with the knowledge, tools and network to develop their ventures.
The film is featured as one of the documentary exhibits of Resettling in America: Georgia’s Refugee Communities that also include listening stations with refugee stories, photography and portraiture. Traditional clothing, textiles, and music of these communities will also be on display.
More information about the exhibit can be found at the David J. Spencer CDC Museum’s website.
